Everyday Scents & Self-Expression
This is my softest pillar — and my most personal. Because it holds the deepest memories. Here, I explore the emotional and nostalgic power of fragrance — how scent helps us tell stories, hold on to moments, and express who we are.

This is where I tell scent stories. The ones that linger. The ones that comfort. The ones that connect memory, identity, and emotion.
Pillar VII: Everyday Scents & Self-Expression
In case you didn’t already know this — fragrance (well, fragrance and skincare) are my love languages.
Scent takes me back:
To my mom’s perfume.
To my first love.
To versions of myself I didn’t even know I missed — or had long forgotten.
It’s about how scent makes us feel —
and how it helps us remember.
It’s personal. Emotional. Human.
I explore the emotional layers of fragrance —
the ones that linger long after the top notes fade.
If you’re a scent lover, a memory chaser, or just curious how perfume ties to healing,
you’re in the right place.
I don’t wear fragrance to be trendy (and yes, scent is definitely having a moment).
I wear it to remember.
To reconnect.
To express who I am that day.
To smell fabulous.
And yes — I wear fragrance to bed. That’s how committed I am.
This is my softest pillar — and maybe my most personal.
This pillar is about sensing.
It’s not loud or demanding.
It’s intimate. It lingers.
It stays with me in ways nothing else quite does.
Scent is tender.
It’s tied to memory, identity, grief, sensuality —
things we don’t always name out loud.
This pillar isn’t urgent like pain or recovery,
but it moves through everything, subtly and constantly.
This space holds my deepest memories —
of my mother, of seasons in my life, of who I was before and after.
Fragrance connects me to my past self, my present body, and the version of me I haven’t met yet.
It’s one of the only ways we express identity that’s invisible to the eye —
and that makes it quietly powerful.
When I share about fragrance, what I’m really saying is:
“This scent makes me feel like a version of myself I almost forgot.”
Or,
“This smells like my mom’s hug — and I’d give anything to feel that again.”
Whether you’re a longtime perfume lover or just curious what your signature scent might say about you, this pillar invites you to breathe deeper and feel more.
That’s deeply personal.
And deeply human.
So yeah — this is my softest pillar.
And that? That feels (and smells) like strength.
