Wow. These discovery sets were such a surprise.
I don’t even remember how I first came across Björk and Berries — most likely a targeted moment on my FYP — but however it happened, I’m grateful it found me.
I purchased both exploration sets — the Signature Collection and the Artisan Collection — and each one felt like a quiet, beautiful journey into northern Sweden: its culture, its landscapes, and its deeply rooted connection to nature through scent.
“Björk and Berries began as a small, local project in northern Sweden with the desire to preserve the magic of its nature — its beauty, scents, and healing properties.”
In My Sooo Human Opinion: That intention is palpable from the very first spray.
You can truly smell the freshly hand-picked leaves and berries that form the heart of this fragrance house — the essence of Swedish plant life itself. Sweden is fortunate to have nearly 57% of its land covered by wild forests, and these perfumes feel harvested directly from that abundance, crafted with minimal additives and maximum potency of Nordic flora.
Each fragrance reflects the ever-changing seasons of Sweden. You don’t just smell them — you see them. You feel the shifting light, the air, the terrain.
“Björk,” the Swedish word for birch, represents the life-giving tree that runs as a signature thread through the entire line. “Berries” — the harvest, the bounty — are nature’s reward. Together, they form the foundation for this exceptional fragrance house.
Even the packaging feels intentional and distinct. In a sea of black-and-white niche fragrance design, Björk and Berries stands out with its deep, rich red — the color of winter berries and the iconic cottages scattered across the Swedish countryside. The atomizers, bottle caps, and clean typography feel unmistakably Nordic: simple, minimal, and quietly striking.

The Signature Collection
The first set I explored was the Signature Collection — six fragrances that sit at the heart of the brand:
White Forest
Never Spring
Fjällsjö
Mareld
Botanist
September
Of these six, three went straight onto my must-purchase list.

This fragrance smells exactly like it sounds — and it’s currently on backorder, which makes complete sense. White Forest is a stunner.
It opens by plunging you deep into the Swedish forest with bright lemon and black currant — fresh, sweet, and immediately awakening. As it evolves, soft florals of violet and lily of the valley emerge, balanced by an aromatic quality that keeps it from leaning too floral. The base is where the magic really settles: woody vetiver and sweet tonka bean meet green pine and snow-covered branches.
This fragrance feels like it belongs outdoors in winter — crisp air, tall trees, quiet beauty. Truly a special blend of nature in her most honest form.

This one sits squarely in my scent wheelhouse.
Created for the season that never quite arrives in Sweden — and apparently also in New England — Never Spring is fresh, crisp, and quietly hopeful. Soft lemon and peach open the scent with elegance rather than sweetness, while cedarwood grounds it throughout, keeping everything beautifully balanced.
This fragrance feels like the moment when the first buds of spring almost appear — tiny glimpses of what’s coming. Hints of amber, woods, sweetness, and musk hover just beneath the surface, creating a sense of anticipation. You’re standing on the edge of something timeless and familiar, waiting.

Botanist feels like a walk that moves seamlessly from dense forest into a cultivated botanical garden.
Described as “the journey from seed to plant,” you can truly smell the unfolding. It opens with the subtle sweetness of green apple and cassis, transitions into the spiciness of black tea and earthy greens, and finally settles into a woody, grounded base.
There’s confidence in this fragrance — rooted, assured, and quietly strong. And when you wear it, you feel that same steadiness reflected back.
Wish List Worthy (Signature Collection)
Also worthy of mention: September, an homage to fall on the farm, and Fjällsjö, a marine fragrance that captures the clarity and stillness of Sweden’s pristine waters.

The Artisan Collection
Next, I explored the Artisan Collection — six fragrances that capture what the brand describes as the “untamed and expressive” side of Björk and Berries:
Faluröd
Ros
Vanilla Veil
Synchrony
White Forest
Violet Sky
Of these, I immediately purchased Ros and Synchrony (and technically White Forest again), with Faluröd quickly landing on my wish list — though it may not stay there long.

Ros is an homage to the Nordic rose — earthy, wild, and beautifully grounded.
As someone who is not typically a rose-fragrance person, this says a lot. This is rose done outdoors, backed by fresh air and wilderness. It opens with pink freesia and lavender, then settles into a musky rose blended with ambroxan and orris butter for warmth and softness.
The dry-down is powdery, grounded, and quietly strong — a rose with character, charm, and restraint.

Synchrony shifts the landscape completely — taking you from forest to city.
This fragrance feels architectural, filled with light, space, and structure. Spicy notes of cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom set the tone, while carrot seed, patchouli, and pink sugar introduce subtle sweetness. Orris butter, leathery labdanum, and cedarwood ground the composition with elegance and depth.
It’s crisp, refreshing, and endlessly interesting — a metropolitan moment that still carries echoes of the countryside.
Wish List Worthy (Artisan Collection)
This was, without question, the most intriguing fragrance in the entire lineup.
It opens boldly with black pepper — strong, magnetic, and persistent. The way this fragrance captures the scent of iron feels modern and unexpected. As it develops, frankincense and oakwood introduce warmth and earthiness, grounding the composition beautifully.
For me, Faluröd conjures images of snowy landscapes dotted with iconic red cottages — like fallen berries against white snow. It’s long-lasting, distinctive, and unlike anything else in this collection or my personal collection.
Final Thoughts
If I could own this entire collection, I truly would.
This is an exquisite exploration of scent, nature, culture, and place — Sweden in bottle form. There’s a cohesiveness across all twelve fragrances, a shared language that ties them together while still allowing each one to tell its own story.
Rarely does every perfume in a two-part collection resonate with me, but here, all twelve felt special. If money were no object, they’d all have a place on my shelf. For now, five will have to do — but this is a fragrance house I’ll continue to return to.
