FLORAÏKU

“a sweet, fruity, and gourmand Blackcurrant Absolute encounters a Genmaicha Tea Extract and a Cedarwood Oil to form a perfect matching trio.” I was inspired to try this one first thanks to Amanda (@scents_with_amanda40) — and it did not disappoint.

One Umbrella for Two bursts to life with the nutty aroma of Puffed Rice Accord and Genmaicha. I wasn’t familiar at first with this Japanese brown rice tea, but the popping, roasted warmth hit my senses immediately — almost too much at first — and then softened as the sweet, tart blackcurrant stepped forward. What follows is an aromatic dance of contrast: tartness meets nuttiness, creating something both balanced and alive.

There’s a yin-and-yang flow to this fragrance — two complementary notes moving in rhythm. Hours later, it still surprises me: little peaks of sweetness surface as I move, breaking through the toasty sharpness of puffed rice. Every so often, a whisper of vanilla and musk lingers — soft, skin-close, intimate.

One Umbrella for Two feels unconventional in the best way — warm yet modern, familiar yet new. A quiet love story told through scent, like the tender act of sharing an umbrella — two souls finding balance under one small shelter. ☂️

*Note:

My sample didn’t last long — I found myself reaching for it again and again, wanting to relive that harmony of sweet and warm, tart and tender. One day, I hope to own the full bottle — not just for its beauty, but for the Sooo Human story it carries.
