Cyklar: Ritual, Care, and Coming Back to Ourselves

It should come as no surprise by now that skincare and fragrance are two of my love languages. So, you can imagine my elation when I was introduced to Cyklar — a brand known for beautifully blending both skincare and scent.

Exploring this line has been a pleasure for both the skin and the senses. And with everything going on inside and outside of my home, incorporating Cyklar products into my daily routine has become all about self care.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to care for ourselves in real time.

We’re living in a moment where we can watch something horrifying unfold on a screen — a human life altered or lost — and then immediately pivot to making dinner, answering emails, folding laundry. That disconnect doesn’t make sense to me. Our nervous systems aren’t built for that kind of whiplash.

As a Social Worker, mother, and human... I believe in naming the human cost of carrying too much, too often, without pause.

That’s where self-care stops being a buzzword and becomes something else entirely.

Sometimes care looks big.

But very often, it looks small.

It looks like taking a shower.

Using products that feel good on your skin.

Letting scent ground you back into your body.

Putting on makeup — or not.

Spraying perfume before bed.

Right now, more than ever, those moments matter.

That’s why I keep coming back to brands I know and trust — brands that understand ritual not as indulgence, but as restoration. Cyklar is one of those brands for me.

From their own words, Cyklar is rooted in “advanced skincare ingredients, nutrient-rich botanicals, and evocative fragrances that turn daily care into a ritual of self-care and rejuvenation.” That philosophy feels especially relevant right now — and deeply in sync with Sooo Human.

I’m drawn to the meaning behind their name — Cyklar — inspired by cycles.

The cycle of skin.

The cycle of scent.

The cycle of care that returns us to ourselves.

The founder speaks openly about being considerate of oneself and how it allows for better presence as a partner, parent, friend, creative, and human. That idea — that care is not selfish, but connective — resonates deeply with me.

I feel that intention when I use their products. Below are the Cyklar products I have been returning to again and again for the last few months.

Favorite Perfume Oils

Their perfume oils are intimate and close to the skin — perfect for layering, bedtime, or moments when you want scent to comfort rather than announce itself.

And it won’t surprise anyone that I own all of them. I love every scent but one — and yes, Vanilla Verve may be one of my favorite vanilla fragrances of all time.

Favorite Sensorial Body Washes & Lactic Acid Foaming Body Polish

Their body wash and exfoliating body polish have transformed showering into a spa-like retreat. Between the luxurious fragrances and the beautiful lather on the skin, they truly feel like a superior sensorial product.

I’m especially drawn to the body wash Crescent, the scent that started it all — warm, soothing, and quietly grounding with notes of grapefruit, sea salt, amber, and musk. It lingers gently on the skin in the most comforting way.

Favorite In-Shower Body Oil Balms

My latest post-shower obsession is the In-Shower Body Oil Balm, particularly in Vanilla Verve. After you have showered, but before you dry off — that's when this oil-balm comes in. No further moisturizing needed, one and done!

The oil balm's are deeply hydrating without leaving the skin greasy or sticky, they give a luminous glow, and the fragrance stays close to the skin throughout the day.

Favorite Body Oil

If you love body oils post shower, you will love these. If you aren’t a body oil fan- try these.

The body oils themselves are beautiful — rich, nourishing, and thoughtfully formulated to move with your body rather than sit on top of it.

Favorite Nutrient-Rich Body Creams

And the body creams? Some of the best I’ve used. So often, fragranced lotions can be drying or irritating — not these.

The fragrance lingers softly, making them ideal for nighttime rituals when you want to be gently held by scent.

I also appreciate Cyklar’s thoughtful approach to formulation — their balance of safe synthetics and botanical ingredients, and their honesty about the fact that “natural” doesn’t always mean safer. There’s real care in that transparency. Respect for skin, not trends.

In a world that feels loud, fast, and often overwhelming, returning to familiar rituals matters. Caring for your skin. Engaging your senses. Letting yourself feel good — even briefly — is not frivolous.

It’s human.

I don’t know whether I love Cyklar more as fragrance or as skincare — and maybe that’s the point. The joy lives in the experience itself, and right now, I’m fully enjoying my moments with Cyklar.

Have you tried Cyklar? What products are you loving?
